photoAt DrugFreeAz.org our mission is to prevent and reduce youth drug and alcohol use through community education and awareness by providing parents, caregivers, healthcare providers, educators and others with educational tools, information and resources. This year, we are offering classes and workshops in the community in English and Spanish. Here are a few of the powerful programs we can bring to your school, community or business:

Active Parenting Nowand Active Parenting of Teens: These workshops  combine video, activities and discussion to help parents raise responsible children who are able to resist negative peer pressure.  The programs demonstrate non-violent discipline techniques and effective encouragement skills.  Active Parenting Now is for parents of 5 through 12 years old. Active Parenting of Teens is for parents of 12 through 18 years old.

Guiding Good Choices: This workshop is for parents of 4th through 9th grade and is designed to give parents tools to use at home to develop a strong relationship with their child while teaching responsibility, character and refusal skills.

AZ Parents Connect: This one hour presentation is for parents and caregivers about current drug trends, why some children are more vulnerable to substance use, teen brain and best parenting practices for preventing underage drinking and drug use. This presentation can be done online or in person.
